I don't see this as a high school text although the index would be a useful resource for students who want to find quickly references to specific artists within the book. The text I suspect would bore most modern students as it doesn't engage thought and questioning about the artist and works. Perhaps with a more modern companion work book developed for use with this text it may have some merit.

Hi Blaise!

There's a HTML version with images at:

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/18900/18900-h/18900-h.htm

There's also a ZIP file (7.5 mb) which I believe contains this HTML file, and a folder with all the images:

http://www.gutenberg.org/files/18900/18900-h.zip

I hope this is helpful!

I don't understand. Project Gutenburg only stores .txt files containing only the text of the material. It's impossible to see any of the images referenced in the book and any diagrams or visuals mentioned are functionless. Is there a version that contains images?
